The Aisha Neko Collection.

Aisha Neko is pretty much my favorite artist online, and one of my favorite artists in general. Her works are interesting and she's really quite talented, especially seeing as she's only a little bit older than me. She has managed to develop her own drawing style in all sorts of mediums, most of which are digital, drawing with a graphics tablet. She's also quite adept with writing, especially songs which she makes and posts on her you-tube account. I love how she's been able to use a style that most people would dismiss as not being art, and make artworks on serious issues or basic interesting and artistic ideas, also designing original characters and character-types. Basically, I love how she goes beyond the expectations most people would have of a person who draws in her kind of style. I would love to be able to do that with my own styles, especially my style of anime/manga. Because, even though it's generally not used for creative artistic purposes, but rather for story telling, people seem to have the idea that it CAN'T be used for that purpose, which is absolutely not true. I really admire Aisha Neko for being able to do both kinds of art with her style. I honestly suggest you check out all her stuff, so there are links HERE to her Youtube channel, and a link is HERE for her deviantart page. But for now, this is a collection of what my favorites of her work are.

This is not by Aisha, it's by another artist who created a character based on her Monochromatic demon character type. This is mainly to show where the cheer she sings comes from. (see below)

Blogs

Seems like, for now at least, we've covered the video area (although I have a few more that will be uploaded tonight, and I'll leave it at that then), here's a few blogs and sites or such that get me thinking and inspire me. I don't check blogs often, but when I do read them, I cover everything I missed.

To start off, there's http://thxthxthx.com/, which is a blog that my mum introduced me to, which I quite like. I think it's a cute idea and really quite like it. Then theres http://www.catchynamenews.com/, a blog by one of my friends which is mainly comedic writing about video games. I also like the 'LOLWHUT' section. I also already knew about Lost At E Minor, from my mum who had subcribed and showed me every time she got a good e-mail. And although it's not very arty, I like the areas of http://www.memebase.com/, because some of the stuff there are jokes and stuff I think of usually, and it gets me thinking of comedic drawings I can do either as just practice or to upload onto http://www.deviantart.com/. Internet memes get me thinking about fan culture and such, which I would like to find a way to incorparate into art.

I also have a blog on tumblr which I intend to write about things that happen to me, which is the main thing that influences me. Funny, sad, angry anything, I intend to post it up there, this will also be a good indication of the sort of things that influence and inspire me. If you're interested, it's http://www.thempotatoes.tumblr.com/.
